Who
doesn’t want to look nice? We know that while being well turned out isn’t
exactly number one on our list of priorities, it does help us feel good about
ourselves, and project a better image. Thus a blog post on Travel Fashion.
You remember all those trips taken abroad or even to
any other destination in India and just feeling either under-dressed or
over-dressed compared to other travellers? If yes; then give us a hi-5 because
we’re in the same boat. However! We, being the nice people we are, have taken
the pains to put together a list of items wearable to different places according to different activities. Jump right in and thank us with your feedback!
While trekking/mountain climbing, it is best to
stick to clothes that are comfortable, but not baggy, you wouldn’t want to have
excessive fabric hanging around while you navigate a tough road. Invest in a
good pair of track pants and good quality, slightly stretchable t-shirts. Also,
stick to brighter colours as at times visibility is poor the higher you go, and
bright colours makes spotting one easy.
While going on walks around the place, during the
summer’s at least, cottons and linens are perfect. However cute your new,
expensive, branded top is, you need clothes that will help you breathe while
looking elegant. Save that cute new thing for dinner or a night when you know
wouldn’t perspire at all.
If your activities chosen are water based, you need
to be doubly careful about what you wear. While everybody stresses on dark
colours for obvious reasons, it is equally important to wear light-weight
clothes or materials like spandex which do not absorb water. Steer clear of
anything that weighs you down and adds additional weight.
Lastly, we can never ever stress enough on carrying
essentials like sunscreen, basic first aid, caps and hats to guard you from a
heat stroke, adequate water and any energy bar or hard boiled candies to keep
you from dehydration.
